Welcome, Steel Bridge!

A wonderfully unique group called STEEL BRIDGE has made it's way to SNM. If you are drawn to the music of Allison Krauss or the Isaacs, then you are going to enjoy this group, as well. Not necessarily what you would call traditional bluegrass gospel, they have a sound all their own and can hang with the best when it comes to pickin' and harmonizing! Their first release with SNM is titled YOU GAVE IT ALL and went out to radio on our February 2012 Compilation. Please be sure to let us know what you think of this fresh, new group!

STEEL BRIDGE is a Christian acoustic/bluegrass band, consisting of six members, each one bringing a unique personality and musical gift, but all being an essential part. They love the sounds of acoustic instruments and tight harmonies, but most importantly, they love songs with messages of hope, ecouragement, and God's amazing love. "Seeing a soul come to Jesus Christ is our greatest reward!"
The inspiration for their name came from a popular local baptism spot within the area where all six members originate from. Members of STEEL BRIDGE make their homes in Lebanon & Monterey, TN.

Calvary’s Voice – One Story To Tell
A toe tapping, knee slapping, hand clapping song … One Story To Tell by Calvary’s Voice is just that. It’s a great upbeat tune with some of the closest harmonies sung today. This song puts it all together in a way that makes us realize that there really is only One story to tell - the story of God’s redemptive plan that Jesus brought to this world. Nothing else can compare and no other plan is complete. That’s right, God started it and He will finish it. It’s His story … let’s go and tell it. I love the sound these guys bring to my ear and the joy they ignite in my spirit!!!

Danny Norman - Reasons
Blind faith is easy when you’re talking it. Living by it can be an entirely different thing. However, as believers we stand on a truth that is unshakeable - the Word of God. As I first listened to Reasons, Ecclesiastes 3 began to flow through my heart … “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the sun…” The big picture that Danny Norman paints with this song is that we may not know why things happen the way they do but we do know the One who carries us through each situation, be it good or bad. What an honor it is to be able to call Him Abba Father! He will work all things for our good and for His purpose. This is a great song that touches deep in the heart, bringing encouragement to all who hear it!

Tammy Jones Robinette – There’s a Blood Line
A powerful lesson is taught in the words of this song. The title itself, There’s a Blood Line, is such a liberating statement! There is truly more power in just one drop of the blood of Jesus than in any weapon Satan could ever throw at us. Tammy Jones Robinette uses her incredible vocal ability to declare that this blood line is uncrossable to the enemy of our souls. There’s no need to worry. There is no way the devil can win – the Blood settled that over 2000 years ago! Praise the Lord, THERE IS A BLOOD LINE! Another powerful song from this great soloist!

The Williamsons – What I Could’ve Been
What a refreshing testimony we find in the words of this latest release from The Williamsons. What I Could’ve Been is a song of salvation and of a God who is more than able to keep us in His loving care. Many times we feel that if we haven’t gone out and “built a testimony” – you know, where we made decisions contrary to what was expected of us – then we don’t have much to contribute to the Kingdom. Why is it that we are more impressed by the things God took us out of than the things He kept us from falling into to begin with? Hmmm, doesn’t make much sense now does it? This song tells of the wonderful saving grace of our Lord and the power He has given to each of us to walk through those doors of escape that He has placed along the way. “Thank God He saved me from What I Could’ve Been!”

Steel Bridge - You Gave It All
A new sound from a new group singing an age old message – we are nothing without Him and all that we have is because of Him! I love how the simplicity of this song speaks volumes about our existence in this world. You Gave It All by Steel Bridge is most definitely gonna’ be a hit with listeners everywhere. People will fall in love with the realness of the Spirit that flows from this group. Such a sweet and gentle declaration of a profound truth, You Gave It All. Listen – you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about!

Eighth Day Starts Off 2012 With Major Media and Radio Exposure
#1 Hit “May I Never Get Over the Cross” Named 2nd Most Played Song of the Year

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – (January 6, 2012) – Popular Southern Gospel trio Eighth Day are starting off the year with a bang. The group has seen an abundance of radio and media exposure due to the group’s #1 hit “May I Never Get Over the Cross” and current rising single “Are You Ready.”

Eighth Day’s #1 hit from last fall, “May I Never Get Over the Cross,” was named the 2nd most played song of the year according to AbsolutelyGospel.com. The song spent an impressive 4 weeks at #1 and was only surpassed in spins this year by one other song – Karen Peck & New River’s “On the Banks of the Promised Land.”

In addition, the group’s current single, “Are You Ready,” ranked #73 on the Top 100 Songs of 2011 after only 2 months at radio. The group was also among the 20 most played artists of the year – ranking at #13 this year.

The site said this about the trio:

“Eighth Day was no stranger to Southern Gospel music - scoring a handful of Top 20 hits before landing the career high of a #1 hit on both the Singing News Top 80 and AbsolutelyGospel.com Top 40 Weekly Chart. ‘May I Never Get Over the Cross’ was a hit by all standards, and Eighth Day is poised to take the Southern Gospel world by storm with the extra publicity that a #1 hit affords a group. SNM Welcomes New Artists!

Spin-N-Motion Welcomes New Artists!

LaVerne Tripp has just released his first single with SNM. On our January 2012 compilation you'll find the song RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW. It comes as no surprise that the song was written by LaVerne. He has written many chart-topping songs including I Know, After Calvary, and That Day Is Almost Here. Those songs bring back some great memories! LaVerne is a multi-nominated Dove Award recipient and travels the world with his wife, Edith, evangelizing and singing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They also sponsor 300 children in India. There is so much more to the story of this amazing man of God! SNM is excited to be partnering with LaVerne Tripp in ministry.

An interesting mix of personalities make up the group MARK209. Hailing from Tennessee and Alabama, this quartet features some of the most talented voices out there today. Listed as one of Absolutely Gospel's "One-to-Watch 2012" and nominated for 2011 "Entertainer of the Year" by USAGEM awards, Joe, Jimmy, Jym, and Nathaniel are not your typical male quartet and their sound is as unique as their name. MARK209 lives up to the hype their name suggests with a great blend of traditional Southern and modern Country Gospel. Their first SNM release, MY HOME IN HEAVEN, is on our January 2012 compilation.

Master’s Voice – Funeral Plans
Titles can certainly be deceiving, can’t they? FUNERAL PLANS brings back memories of my sweet mama. You see, I spent my entire life (well, from age 4 on…) traveling and singing with my family. We had sung at so many funerals that Mama knew exactly how she wanted her funeral to go and we were given strict instructions in how to carry them out. I believe it was everything she wanted. Let me tell you, we had church and eight souls were saved! MASTER’S VOICE brings FUNERAL PLANS to life with their dynamic sound and powerful vocals. The lyrics stir my spirit and I get excited about going home! Do I want to go today? Well that's up to the Lord but when I do go I want to go the way I’ve lived – praising His name! “When I die, let me die praising Your name! Let it ring in my ear all of those songs I sang! Give me the strength to praise You, lift Your name one more time…“ Oh, this is a fantastic song. Be it live in concert or blasting over the airwaves, the audience is gonna’ love this - This is the kind of song that will make you run the aisle!

Mark209 – My Home In Heaven
Mark209 puts their own spin on this old Woody Wright fan favorite. MY HOME IN HEAVEN has always been a fun song to listen to and when you hear these guys sing it, you know it has to be fun to sing as well. Clean and crisp vocals are highlighted throughout this upbeat southern gospel tune and the blend of voices more than hits the mark. This is my first encounter with the quartet Mark209 and I must say that I really enjoy listening to these guys sing. May I just add that I love to hear a good bass singer hit strong low notes and I found that here. The message in the song simply states that everything can be taken away - everything but MY HOME IN HEAVEN. If you’ve made Jesus your savior then you have this promise too!

LaVerne Tripp – Right Here, Right Now
One of the greatest blessings a believer has is the peace that comes from knowing that God is all we need. RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW paints a beautiful picture of that place of contentment. Even when we find ourselves in a situation that is less than ideal, God still holds everything we need and will show us how to obtain His best for us. Written by LaVerne Tripp and delivered in classic style, I imagine this song was inspired first, from scripture encouraging us to trust in the Lord, and second, probably from personal experience. You’re not likely to live the life of a Christian artist for as long as Mr. Tripp has and not learn to trust in the Lord. There’s some great “piano picking” featured in this one as well!

The Joyaires – Saved, Sealed and Going
Songwriter Rodney Griffin puts it this way: "If there are three things in life I would want to know for a fact before I die, it would be these:  1. I'm 100% sure that my sins are forgiven by the blood of the Lamb and I am Saved.  2. I've been Sealed by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption.  3. It's not if, but when…I AM going to heaven when I die.  When someone knows these three things, they can live a life of joy and peace…because as good as it is to live here, the best is yet to come!"  I hope you enjoy the Joyaires' rendition of this brand new song, "Saved, Sealed And Going"!" Well, that pretty much sums it up. I love the harmony from the Joyaires and the true southern gospel sound that they to bring to whatever song they sing. SAVED, SEALED and GOING is a great fit for this group!

Welcome, Old Paths!

SNM is proud to welcome OLD PATHS to our family of artists. Based out of Douglasville, GA this fine group of talented & dedicated young men brings years of experience into their music ministry. OLD PATHS began in the fall of 2003 and their name comes straight from Jeremiah 6:16, " Seek ye the old paths, and walk therein." Individually, these guys have incredible testimonies and together, well let's just say that they are very effective in what the Lord has called them to do! Their first single with SNM is I OF THE STORM. Looking forward to hearing your feedback, Radio!
